About me
Byron De Leon is a Guatemalan-American conductor, baritone, and educator from New York City. He sings at Marble Collegiate Church and will be a Conducting Apprentice for the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia’s 152nd Season. A Young People’s Chorus of New York City alum, he now serves as Artistic Coordinator and Assistant Conductor of the Young People’s Chorus @ Thurnauer School of Music, where he also teaches Voice and Creative Musicianship. De Leon earned his MM in Choral Conducting from Rutgers University-New Brunswick and BM in Voice Performance from Ithaca College.
